  Objective - Students will learn that the baptism of the Holy Spirit gives them new life and will be challenged to find meaning through their union with Christ. Key Scripture - Romans 6:4   Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Summary - Today we started a new four-part series about the Holy Spirit entitled Never Alone: Walking in Step with the Spirit. That’s a great thought! Believers are never alone when living their lives for Jesus Christ. We have the Holy Spirit, and we have one another. In this lesson, we talked about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit baptizes the believer into Christ at salvation, and the result is a union with Christ that gives greater meaning to life. In this lesson, we focused on God’s view of women and how a godly woman lives. We discussed that men and women are created in the image of God and are equal, but not superior, to each other.   Objective - Students will learn about the biblical characteristics of a godly man and will be challenged to develop a biblical worldview of masculinity.   Key Scripture - Micah 6:8   He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?   Lesson Summary - Today’s lesson was the third lesson in a four-part series called Made: In the Image of God. In this lesson, your student learned about the unique role that God has for each man. We talked about masculinity. Your student learned about biblical characteristics for godly men and was challenged to adopt a biblical worldview of masculinity. Specifically, we reminded your student that: Real men accept responsibility (Micah 6:8). Real men fear God and keep His commands (Ecclesiastes 12:13; 1 Kings 2:1-3). Real men model Jesus (Philippians 2:5-11). We specifically challenged your student to pay attention to the media (movies and videos)
