In this series, we will discuss the biblical approach to four different topics that are all difficult to talk about. They are topics that are sometimes even difficult for you, as a parent, to talk about with your student. This week’s discussion revolved around the topic of sexual purity. Students were shown that there is only one possible way to be pure, and that is by following God’s plan. God has given us instruction in His Word that your student was shown to follow as they seek to please and honor God.   They were show

They were encouraged to start by examining their heart, understanding that their words are a reflection of who they are on the inside. They learned that God can guard their mouth and keep them from spewing out words that dishonor Him. Lastly, they learned to speak with a purpose and

Social Media Matters - Parent Connection

Key Scripture - Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. Key Thought - Influence is inevitable. Lesson Summary - This lesson is from our new four-week series called Tough Topics. In this series, we are dealing with several tough topics from a biblical perspective. The tough topic your student learned about tonight was the proper use of social media. While the Bible does not talk specifically about this topic, your student learned a few great principles that can be directly applied to their online experiences: who they follow matters, what they view matters, and what they post matters. In each of these areas, there is potential to either be influenced or influence others, both for good and for bad. Your student was encouraged to make the most of their time online, and no

Stand Tall - Standing Faithful

It is actually a study from the first half of the biblical Book of Daniel. In it, we have discovered how Daniel and his friends stood tall for God as God’s purposes were worked out in their lives. Specifically, the students learned that even when they can’t be anything else, they can be faithful. We looked at Daniel’s most famous opportunity to stand tall for God.
