Home Inspection - Building on a Strong Foundation

  Objective - Students will learn the importance of building their lives on a strong foundation and be challenged to live in obedience to the Word of God. Today we started a new four-part series entitled Home Inspection: Is Your Foundation Strong? The topic throughout the series is integrity: living a life consistent with biblical principles. In our lesson, we shared two important truths: we need a strong foundation for our lives, and we need to have an inspection of our lives.   Objective - Students will learn ingratitude is a negative attitude and will be challenged to give God praise. Key Scripture - Luke 17:15-16 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. Summary - This lesson was the third lesson in a four-part series called Heart Attack: Don’t Let Your Attitudes Harm You. In this series, we are dealing with heart attitudes. In this lesson, we dealt with another heart attitude, the attitude of ingratitude.  In Luke 17, we studied the story of ten lepers who received healing from Jesus. Only one of the ten lepers turned back to express gratitude to Jesus. This one leper made a deliberate choice to express his gratitude. We helped your student understand that gratitude is a heart attitude expressing praise.  The lesson was called “Spiritual Arrhythmia” because having a complaining attitude is out of rhythm with God
