Objective - Students will learn the differences and similarities between the local church and the universal Church and will be encouraged to be involved in the church. Key Scripture - Matthew 16:18 Key Thought - It’s not where you are, but what you are. Lesson Summary - Today, we began a four-week series called “The Church: All In.” In this series, your student will learn about the benefits and responsibilities of belonging to a “church.” During this week’s lesson your student learned the difference and similarities between the local church and the universal church, and we encouraged them to be involved in the church. We worked through three simple points to help them view what the church is and how they can be part of it. Here were the main points of the lesson. I.              The Truth about the Church II.             The Significance of the Universal Church                 The universal church = all believers everywhere (past, present, and future) III.            Th

Objective - Students will learn about true freedom and will be challenged to choose to no longer be a slave to sin.   Key Scripture - Romans 6:1-2   Key Thought - Freedom from sin isn’t freedom to sin.   Lesson Summary - Tonight’s lesson is part of a series called “Man Alive.” The series focuses on the  brokenness of all human beings. Tonight’s lesson focused on the freedom from sin.   Before someone trusts Christ as Savior, he/she is dead in sin and is the slave to sin. When someone trusts Christ as Savior, he/she is dead to sin and alive in Christ. Unfortunately, many times we can live like sin is still our master. It is easy to abuse the grace of God and continue to sin on a regular basis.   We began our discussion with this proposed idea: “If experiencing God’s grace is a good thing, and every time we sin we experience God’s grace, we should just keep sinning. This way, we get to do what we want and reap the benefits of God’s grace.” Using the

Objective -  Students will learn how this broken world corrupts our hearts and minds and will be challenged to find strength through Jesus for their battle with sin   Key Scripture  -  2 Corinthians 5:17   Key Thought  -  Sin doesn’t have to win   Lesson Summary  -  Yesterday’s lesson was part of a series called “Man Alive.” The series focuses on the brokenness of all human beings. Sin is everywhere, but sin doesn’t have to win. Tonight, we introduced your student to a world of snakes. In 2013, Animal Planet aired a show called Infested and highlighted the struggles that a Colorado couple had against garter snakes. You can view the video here: https://teachersource.wol.org/resource/SBS19/15-1/ . Sin is a lot like these snakes. We all have a sin nature and are bombarded by sin from the world around us. The struggle is real, but sin doesn’t have to win.   Your student discovered that Jesus Christ has provided a way to defeat sin. His death and resurrection is the only

Lesson – Man Alive Series – Man Alive   Objective - Students will learn that their brokenness is reflective of sin and choose to follow God’s plan for fixing that brokenness through a relationship with Jesus   Key Scripture - Genesis 3:15   Key Thought - God has a plan to fix the brokenness.   Lesson Summary – This morning, we began a series called “Man Alive.” The series focuses on the brokenness of all human beings. At the beginning of the lesson, our expression was directed toward the brokenness of the world. “Man alive, is our world messed up.” Through the lesson, we discovered that our world was not originally messed up, in fact, it was good. But when the first man, Adam, chose to sin, our world took a bad turn that had a sad result. As a result of sin, death passed on to all men because all have sinned. The good news is that God had a great plan to restore all of mankind back to Himself. Jesus died to make the payment for sin and t
