A Beautiful Design - Parent Connection

 Objective -  Students will understand that all people are made in the image of God and will choose to

value their own life and the lives of others the way God values life.

 

Key Scripture -  Genesis 1:27

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and

female He created them.

 

Lesson Summary - Today's lesson was the first lesson in a four-part series called Made: In the Image of God.

In this lesson, your student learned that all people have intrinsic value due to the fact that

they are created in the image of God. All people should be treated as image-bearers of God.

Your student learned that their value as a person was determined by God because they

were made by God and, because of Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death, their value was

confirmed by the fact that Jesus died for them. They were challenged in two ways.

1. To view others how God views others, so they could value them as God values them.

2. To view themselves how God views them, so they will value themselves the way God

values them.
