Lesson Summary –
In our current four-part series, Evidence: Building a Case
for the Existence of God, we are looking at the question, “Does God exist?” In
this lesson, your student learned that God is personal and reveals Himself in
the person of Jesus as a God of love. This counters two false ideas about
God—that God is distant and uninvolved in the world and the idea that God is a
sort of impersonal force.
Your student was challenged to draw near to God and to
recognize that He is always with them. Your student was also encouraged to ask
God to give them the desire to know Him better and to draw near Him through
prayer. Talk to your student about times when you have experienced God’s
nearness through prayer. If you are struggling to draw near God, ask Him to
give you that desire as well.
