Lesson Summary –
Tonight’s lesson was the second lesson in a four-part series
called Game Plan: A Strategy for Spiritual Growth. The goal of this series is
to help students understand the need for them to exercise the spiritual
disciplines necessary to function as strong Christians in the game of life.
In this lesson, we discussed the importance of spending time
with God daily in prayer and the study of His Word, applying God’s Word to
one’s life, as well as the significance of sharing what God is teaching them
with others. Once we learned how to spend time with God, we highlighted several
benefits of spending time with God. Take the time to read Psalm 19:7-11.
Ask your student to share with you a highlight that they
learned from this lesson. Everyone was encouraged to set a time and place this
week for when they will invest time with God through personal quiet time.
