Objective - Students will identify the dangers and consequences of pornography and will be challenged to deal with pornography biblically and immediately.

Lesson Summary - Tonight’s lesson was part of a four-part series called “Deal With It: A Biblical Approach to Tough Topics.” In each of the four parts of this series, we will discover the biblical approach to some rather difficult topics. In tonight’s lesson, we took the principles from Scripture and applied them to the topic of pornography. In this lesson, we warned students of the dangers of pornography and tried to help students that are already involved in pornography to develop a step-by-step plan to break out of this sin that overwhelms and binds. We also want to help the students who have not gotten involved with this insidious sin to stay away from it. Use the fact that we taught this lesson as a way to begin a conversation with your students about the topic of pornography. You could begin with some non-threatening questions like, “What did you discuss at the student meeting tonight?” or, “Are a lot of your friends struggling with pornography?” From there, make your questions more direct. “Have you ever been tempted with pornography?” “How has the temptation presented itself to you?” “How can I help you in this area?” Your child is too valuable to ignore having this conversation with them. It may be awkward, but it is worth the awkwardness.
