Eternal Life Begins Now!

Objective - Students will learn that eternal life begins the moment they believe in Jesus and will be challenged to receive and take hold of this abundant, eternal life now

Key Scripture - John 17:3

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."

Key Thought - Don’t wait ‘til death to begin to live!

Lesson Summary - Today's lesson was the final lesson in a four-part series called, “Forever: Never Alone Again.” The focus of this series was eternal salvation. In this series, we have looked at what it means to be adopted into the family of God, to be justified (declared righteous) forever by God, to be forever secure in God’s hand, and how we can have eternal life with God!

Today’s lesson focused on living out three of the qualitative aspects of the eternal life that God has given believers to experience now: love, peace, and purpose. Eternal life is much more than a future home in Heaven. It begins by experiencing God’s abundant life on earth that Jesus promised. The key to living that abundant eternal life now is to draw near to God in our hearts and walk by faith in His promises.

Many students struggle to find love, peace, and purpose in their life, but God not only wants them to experience these, He has provided the means for them to experience all three.

As a parent, it would be wise to ask your son or daughter about their relationship with God. Find out if they have the eternal life that God promises. If not, help them understand how eternal life is possible through Jesus Christ. If they do have eternal life through Christ, help them live out that eternal life now. Help them to recognize the love of Christ, rest in the peace that Jesus gives, and live in God’s purpose for their life.

If you need help talking to your child about how he or she can have eternal life, please contact us here at the church. We would love to show you from the Bible how eternal life is possible!
