Forever Secure in God’s Hand

Objective - Students will understand the permanency of eternal life and live with confidence in their eternal security.

Key Scripture - John 10:28-29

"And  I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand."

Key Thought - You are forever secure in God’s hand.

Lesson Summary - Tonight’s lesson was the third lesson in a four-part series called, “Forever: Never Alone Again.” This lesson specifically addressed the issue of eternal security. Your student was taught from the Bible how once they believe in Jesus Christ for their salvation, they are forever secure in God’s mighty and capable hand (John 10:27-29 and 1 John 5:13).

God the Father promised eternal life to us.

God the Son (Jesus) provided the means by which we can have eternal life.

God the Holy Spirit is our guarantee that we have eternal life.

Many Christians struggle with the issue of eternal security because they fail to live the way they know God wants them to. But our eternal life is not based on anything that we do or fail to do! Our eternal security is not conditioned upon how well we live, but on His promise to save us. Your student may need to be reminded of the fact that those who believe in Jesus are forever secure in God’s hand.

Have a conversation with your student this week about their relationship with God. If they have fears or uncertainties about eternal life, point them to God and His promise to give eternal life to all who have the Son! If you need help talking about eternal life with your student or need to talk about eternal life yourself, contact us here at the church. It would be our privilege to show you from God’s Word how you can have your sin forgiven and be forever secure in God’s hands
