FULL CIRCLE: Prayer, Care, Share

Objective: Students will understand that Jesus is calling them to share His Gospel message with others.

Lesson Summary: This week, we began a four-part series called “Full Circle,” where we introduced a diagram from Dare 2 Share Ministries called The Cause Circle. Here is the link to a 3 ½ minute video explaining more about it: https://teachersource.wol.org/resource/SBS19/45-1/.

Our goal was for your student to understand that The Cause Circle of “Prayer, Care, Share” is the way Jesus engaged with those who did not have a personal relationship with God. Over the next three weeks, we will be unpacking these three elements more fully and encouraging your student to join The Cause by sharing the Gospel with their friends.

As you may have expected, this caused some tension in the hearts of some of the students because many of them have never shared the Gospel with anyone, much less their friends. Anticipating this, we shared with them a great phone app: Dare 2 Share Mobile App (available through either the Apple App Store or Google Play). This app is an incredibly useful and user-friendly tool that has videos to help students share the Gospel with their friends! The students were also asked to take the initial step in The Cause by composing a short list of friends who need to know Jesus and for whom they can begin praying.

A great way to connect with your student would be to download the Dare 2 Share app on your own phone and walk through the links together. After you have downloaded the App, take some time to compose a prayer list of your own.

Elevate Sunday Follow Up - Lesson 20

Dear Parents, This week in The Thread study, we looked at a new perspective. While we know that God’s grace is the only solution for our sin, it is important that we recognize God desires our obedience. In this lesson, titled “The Rise and Fall of Solomon,” students looked at God’s covenant with Solomon. Just as with generations before him, Solomon learned that God disciplines us when we are disobedient. By comparing Solomon’s story with the words of Jesus, students clearly saw that throughout time God has singularly desired our whole heart! Creative Discipleship Challenge Details

  Hey Parents! Thanks to our partnership with Word of Life we are excited to announce that students will again be invited to participate in our Creative Discipleship Challenge (CDC) this year.  Those who complete the CDC are awarded the following: A Free Word of Life Camping Experience A Free Tickey to a night of Reverb with WOL the following year  Scholarship to Various Christian Universities (for details click here ) We love this challenge because it provides a great structure to encourage students in the spiritual disciplines God encourages all of his children to grow in. 1 Timothy 4:7 says, "Discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness.” We want to champion students getting serious about that journey.  The goal is to focus students to develop habits of spiritual discipline in two key areas, growing their faith and sharing their faith.
