Lesson Summary
Lesson Summary
 -  This mornings lesson is part of a series called “Game Plan: A Strategy         for Spiritual Growth.” This series will deal with the core essentials for spiritual growth. We specifically challenged your student to consider three important truths from James 4:14 concerning their life.

The first truth is this: life is sacred. We reminded them that God formed them and created them in His very own image, every one of them (Genesis 1:26-27). What this means is that life is sacred! Their life is sacred because it came from God. Their life has value and God has stamped His image on them!

The second truth is this: life is single. They only have one life. That’s it. They don’t get a second chance at this life. We used the example of a countdown clock put on their life. Once the clock strikes zero, it’s over. They can’t reset life’s countdown clock!

The third truth is this: life is short. As a teenager, they might think they have their whole life ahead of them, and hopefully, they do, but there is no guarantee how many years they have left. Their life’s countdown clock is ticking away day by day!

Because life is sacred, life is single, and life is short, we told the students that the greatest thing they can do in life is prepare for death. We then finished by sharing with them how they can be prepared for death.

They will only be prepared for death when they have called upon Jesus to save them from their sin. The same is true for you. So, what are you waiting for? Remember, you can’t reset life’s countdown clock. When your life’s countdown clock strikes 0:00, will you be ready? If you would like to talk to someone about how to begin a relationship with Jesus, please contact someone here at the church. We would love to share with you how you can find forgiveness for sin and receive the gift of eternal life.
