Elevate Sunday Follow Up - Lesson 52

Dear Parents,
Believe it or not, we’ve just completed our one-year walk through the big-picture study of the Bible. It’s been an amazing journey of tracing the thread of the Gospel through the major stories of the Bible. This week we wrapped up by talking about Revelation.

In this lesson, our students learned that in the end, God will ultimately bring about a new order of things, restoring the perfect, personal relationship He had with His people. Furthermore, they learned that God has always been in the business of renewal, most notably, with the renewal He offers people through faith in Christ. We challenged our students to consider what it means to embrace the new life in Christ they’ve been given, rejecting any aspects of their lives that are holdovers from their “old” lives.

We looked at the following Scripture passages:
·         Revelation 21:1-8
·         2 Corinthians 5:17

Next Steps . . .
During the week set aside a few moments to discuss these questions with your teenager:
·         What are the ways that you’ve seen God change you into a new creation?
·         How is Revelation a book of hope?

I hope this resource is a useful tool for you and your student. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to contact me.
