Elevate Sunday Follow Up - Lesson 44

Dear Parents,
Hello again! We’ve made it to our 44th week of The Thread, our year-long look at the big-picture story of the Bible. This week’s lesson was a really awesome time of fellowship and learning. I hope your teenager enjoyed it.
This week, the lesson was entitled “Paul’s Conversion and Mission,” and it focused on Saul’s conversion experience on the Road to Damascus, God’s calling on his life, and how we relate to what God did in his life.

We looked at the following Scripture passages:
  • Acts 9:1-19
  • Ephesians 2:4-10

These are some great passages about God’s gracious gift of salvation through grace to undeserving sinners.

Next Steps . . .
During the week, set aside a few moments to discuss these questions with your teenager:
·         What do you think about Saul’s conversion experience? Does it seem more incredible than ours? Or can you see how every conversion is equally miraculous? Explain.
·         God clearly saved Saul for a specific purpose. Do you feel like we have been saved for a reason? What is it?
·         You talked some about your spheres of influence and how you can live out the Gospel in certain places. What about us as a family? What is a sphere of influence we have together? How can we live together on mission in that place?

I hope this resource is a useful tool for you and your student. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to contact me.
