Elevate Sunday Follow Up - Lesson 35

Hello again! We’re on week 35 of The Thread, and I’ve loved the conversations that have been happening in our group. I hope your teenager enjoyed it.
This week, the lesson was entitled “The Raising of Lazarus,” and it focused on helping students understand that Jesus has power over death and the physical laws of our world, and that Jesus is the only way to salvation and life.

We looked at the following Scripture passages:
  • John 11:1-44; 14:1-6

You’ll enjoy reading these powerful passages that demonstrate that Jesus not only wants us to experience eternal life, but that He has the power and authority to give it to us.

Next Steps . . .
During the week, set aside a few moments to discuss these questions with your teenager:
·         Why were Martha and Mary upset with Jesus in the passage you read this week?
·         What was Thomas worried about when Jesus told His disciples he was leaving?
·         What do you think Jesus’ conversations with Martha, Mary, and Thomas have to do with your friends who maybe don’t have a relationship with Jesus or don’t really want anything to do with God?

Thank you for all you do. If you have any questions about anything, please don’t hesitate to call me.
