Dear Parents, Hello again!  This week was our 17 th lesson in “The Thread,” and we’re still charging through our look at the big picture of the Bible. It is amazing to see how each story helps us better understand that God’s plan from the very beginning was to send Jesus.   This week’s lesson was entitled “Samuel Anointing David.” We looked at the story of David becoming king of Israel. He was an unlikely choice; in fact, his own family thought his chances of being chosen by Samuel were so slim they didn’t even remember to invite him to the meeting.
