Incompatible - Not all Roads Lead To Heaven

Key Scripture -John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Summary - This lesson was the last lesson of a four-part series on Apologetics called Incompatible: Defending the Faith Amid Disagreements. During this series, students have been learning to defend their Christian faith with gentleness and respect.

Your student learned that the similarities between religions do not mean they worship the same God. Other religions depend on works to earn salvation, but only the God of the Bible made a way for man to be reconciled to Him.

You see, God created us to be with Him (Psalm 100:3), but our sin separates us from Him (Romans 3:23). Because of our sin, we have no hope of eternal life nor can we have a relationship with God. The bad news is, our sin cannot be removed by good deeds (Romans 3:20).

But thankfully, God sent Jesus Christ to the Earth to die for us, making it possible for us to have a relationship with Him (Romans 5:8). After dying on the cross for the sin of the world, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. His death made the payment for sin; His resurrection confirms that He defeated sin and death. Anyone who believes in Him has eternal life that starts the moment they trust Him and lasts for eternity (John 3:16; 10:27-30)!

Your student was challenged to post the words, “Ask me about Acts 4:12” on their social media as a way to share their faith with family and friends. You can help to encourage your student by asking them to tell you about Acts 4:12, as this will help to prepare them to be a witness for Christ to their friends. If your student does not have social media, they are encouraged to pray for an opportunity to tell others about Jesus.
